摘要: UNLABELLED Stroke among infants and children is generally considered a rare event. However, few studies have used national data to characterized pediatric stroke in the U.S. OBJECTIVE The objective of this paper was profile using estimates. METHODS Data from Kids' Inpatient Database (KID) examined estimate total number, mean length stay, costs discharge disposition 2000, 2003, 2006. RESULTS Estimates indicated that more than 2000 were discharged hospitals with diagnosis each years 2003 Among those, 1300 ischemic strokes (IS), approximately 400 subarachnoid hemorrhages (SAH), intracerebral (ICH) three years. also average stay (LOS) over same time period 7 days for IS, 11 SAH ICH. Approximately 6% died 7% 5% Regardless year, most routinely home associated their hospital substantially greater compared ICH IS.
