摘要: The transition metal complexes of the non-innocent, electron-rich corrole macrocycle are discussed. A detailed summary investigations to determine physical oxidation states formally iron(IV) and cobalt(IV) corroles as well as copper(III) corroles is presented. Electronic structures and reactivity other metallocorroles also discussed, comparisons between corrole porphyrin made where data available. growing assortment second-row corrole discussed compared to first-row analogs, work describing synthesis characterization third-row corroles summarized. Emphasis placed on role spectroscopic and computational studies in elucidating electronic configuration.
