[Normalization of the GH response to L-DOPA in acromegalics after treatment with bromocriptine].

摘要: The plasma GH response to the L-dopa test (500 mg per os) has been assessed in 7 acromegalics who had never treated before. Whereas three patients showed an increase GH, other four presented a paradoxical with significant reduction levels. All subjects were put on treatment bromocryptin (10 mg/die). Three months later it was noted that only responded positively (at least 50% GH). repeated these patients. In of them basal levels lower than 10 ng/ml curve found be reversed. It is concluded responsive patients, not reduces but also normalizes certain stimuli such as L-dopa.
