摘要: Methods of counting aphids infesting potato crops are reviewed and discussed. The results an aphid survey in different parts England during 1946 counts at Rothamsted 1947 given used to illustrate methods expressing the counts; extent virus spread showed no close correlation with numbers. It is concluded that estimate number per plant better for disease research than 100 leaves. A method estimating tolerable accuracy described, but it most surveys a which does not necessitate adequate. Such method, based on percentage leaves infested, described.
