Palliative therapy in the terminal stage of neurological disease.

摘要: As recently pointed out by the American Academy of Neurology, providing adequate palliative care to dying patients is duty every neurologist. Because a lack relevant articles in neurological literature, we have compiled current treatment recommendations for most important symptoms arising endstage diseases. These include dyspnea, death rattle, restlessness, pain, thirst, depression, and others. A discussion difficult decisions included, e.g., appropriate extent fluid substitution or ethical implications sedation terminal phase. It hoped that this compilation may provide basis future research therapy neurology.
