摘要: Virtualizing the physical resources of a computing system to improve sharing and utilization has been done for decades. Virtualization had once confined specialized server mainframe systems, but improvements in performance platforms based on Intel technology now allow those efficiently support virtualization. However, IA-32 Itanium processor architectures pose number significant challenges The first generation Technology (VT) processors provides hardware that simplifies virtualization, enabling reductions virtual machine monitor (VMM) software size complexity. Resulting VMMs can wider range legacy future operating systems (OSs) same platform while maintaining high performance. In this paper, we provide details virtualization posed by processors; present an overview furnish VT-x (Intel architecture) VT-i architecture); show how address challenges; finally examples usage architecture.
