摘要: The role of grain size and porosity in the piezoelectric elastic properties SiO 2 -based materials was investigated using resonant spectroscopy (RPS) ultrasound (RUS). RPS performed on agate revealed a effect comparable magnitude to that single-crystal quartz. observed strong piezoelectricity requires preferential orientation during crystal growth. Similarly, novaculite sandstone finite (but weak) signals were evident, suggesting expected randomization quartz grains is incomplete. On other hand, Vycor, silica glass with 40, showed no evidence effect. According temperature-dependent RUS measurements, α-β transition temperature does not change polycrystalline samples. Finally, dependence under heating constants reversible irreversible Vycor.
