摘要: Abstract Purpose To describe a patient with acute central retinal artery occlusion (CRAO) during vitrectomy surgery and the possible role of in CRAO management. Observations An 84-year-old man presented broad vitreomacular traction epiretinal membrane right eye. Preoperative assessment clearly showed normal vasculature. On starting vitrectomy, complete marked segmentation all vessels was noted. Vitrectomy performed usual manner once posterior hyaloid detached from disc, immediate revascularization The had visual recovery. Conclusions importance Immediate induction vitreous detachment may have selected cases CRAO, particularly if within short window.
