Phytotoxicity of ancient gaswork soils. Effect of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) on plant germination

摘要: Abstract The phytotoxicity of various contaminated soils was assessed by plant inventories on ancient industrial fields and tests. Industrial are well colonised numerous weedy plants. Phytotoxicity tested with pure PAHs, soils, soil leaches, liquid tar volatile compounds. Both field studies toxicity tests show that samples can be classified into two categories: first, a recently excavated soil/liquid foul-smelling phytotoxic second, an ‘aged’, surface weathered non-phytotoxic.
