摘要: Abstract Polarization resistance studies and cathodic delamination provide evidence that steel abrasively blasted with alumina exhibits a lower initial rate of corrosion in distilled water than similar steels grit or abraded silicon carbide paper. Auger spectroscopy electron microprobe analysis revealed the presence significant aluminum on surface, largely form embedded particles but possibly also as constituent oxide film. Non-metallic abrasive blasting may have application chemical modification metal surfaces.
