摘要: This comprehensive, bird's view research note combines the state of art, a brief presentation history and some original solutions, position like views prospective future developments one most relevant interesting areas related to use fuzzy logic in database management systems, notably its querying component, - extent broader issue data information management. We briefly summarize roots those new applications logic, more proposals development context fuzzification basic relational model, then further generalizations. particularly focus on as human consistent friendly way retrieving due real intentions preferences expressed natural language represented via possibility theory. mention extensions, queries with linguistic quantifiers, point their close relation summaries. As for newer, developments, we mainly bipolar that can accomodate users' involving sort required desired, mandatory optional, etc. conditions. show various ways handling such queries. conclude statements our promising directions, challenges.
