摘要: Oceans were a key theme of the Rio+20 Conference in 2012 and importance conservation sustainable use oceans was reinforced by UN member states. This paper examines Australia’s policy capacity to develop implement policies context its history responses commitments international forums, such as United Nations on Environment Development World Summit Sustainable Development. Our analysis highlights that governments Australia are now consciously making governance they know have deliver. We conclude Australian has been constrained this tendency towards focusing relatively ‘safe’ areas development, deeper more radical engagement is needed order build so again becomes globally recognised leading nation innovation governance.
