摘要: The aqueous extract of European mistletoe (Viscum album, L.) has been used in cancer therapy. purified lectins, main components mistletoe, have demonstrated cyto-toxic and immune-system-stimulating activities. Korean album L.coloratum), a subspecies also reported to possess anticancer immunological A galactose- andN-acetyl-D-galactosamine-specific lectin L.coloratum agglutinin, VCA) with Mr 60 kDa was isolated from mistletoe. Mistletoe preparations given subcutaneously due the low stability gastrointestinal (Gl) tract. In present study, we investigated possibility alginate/chitosan microcapsules as tool for oral delivery lectin. addition, our strategy develop system composed stabilizing cores (granules), which contain lectin, or powder, coated by biodegradable polymer wall. Our results indicated that successful incorporation VCA into achieved microcapsule protected degradation at acidic pH values. And coating polyacrylic polymers, Eudragit, produced outstanding ideal release profiles only minimal losses cytotoxicity after manufacturing step. granules prepared whole plant best during process.
