摘要: Abstract Purpose The aim of this research is to give construction industry stakeholders some Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) able help them making the best decisions when acquiring, operating, maintaining and repairing a building. These KPIs are intended be included inside Building Condition Assessment procedure developed by authors. Approach This work mainly based on two types KPIs: one, here called Technical index, assess building degradation maintenance, so have measure how asset getting older; another, Documents quality quantity available documents thus know if fulfils its legal requirements. Findings proposed picture current condition, it maintained, list pathologies also an indication missing documents. Research limitations meant survey with only visual inspections. In case one or more serious problem detected, specific analysis may required, no matter final value KPIs. Practical implications knowledge about built assets given these will in decision operating deciding buy asset. Originality outcome original that had purpose developing instruments for reliable but quick evaluation performed before acquiring major their refurbishment.
