摘要: To examine immunity in viral gastroenteritis, we challenged and then rechallenged 12 volunteers with Norwalk agent evaluated symptoms, jejunal biopsies serum antibody. With the first challenge, gastroenteritis developed six but not others. When 27 to 42 months later, who became ill initially again had lesions; previously immune illness or lesions did develop. Four of five increases antibody after both challenges. Serum increase three either challenge. twice become underwent a third challenge four eight weeks their second illness. In one developed; three, it not. These findings indicate two forms for short other long duration. Factors than appear important gastroenteritis.
