摘要: Due to scalability issues that the current Internet is facing, research community has re-discovered Locator/ID Split paradigm. As name suggests, this paradigm based on idea of separating identity from location end-systems, in order increase architecture. One most successful proposals, currently under discussion at IETF, LISP (Locator/ID Separation Protocol). A critical component LISP, a performance and resources consumption perspective, as well security point view, Cache. The Cache meant temporarily store mappings, i.e., bindings between identifiers locations, provide routers with knowledge where forward packets. This paper presents thorough analysis such component, real packet-level traces. Furthermore, implications policies level are also analyzed. Our results prove even timeout short 60 seconds provides high hit ratio impact using small.
