摘要: Cell polarity is critical for the division, differentiation, migration, and signaling of eukaryotic cells. RAX2 budding yeast encodes a membrane protein localized at cell cortex that helps maintain bipolar pattern. Here, we designate SPAC6f6.06c as rax2+ Schizosaccharomyces pombe, based on its sequence homology with RAX2, examine function in polarity. S. pombe not essential, but Deltarax2 cells are slightly smaller grow slower than wild type During vegetative growth or arrest G1 by mutation cdc10, deletion increases number failing old end just after division. In addition, this failure dramatically increased Deltatea1Deltarax2, pointing to genetic interaction tea1+. contain normal actin microtubule cytoskeletons, lack cables, factor for3p properly growing tip. cells, endogenous rax2p tips an actin- microtubule-dependent manner. However, show no defects during shmoo formation conjugation. Taken together, these observations suggest controls fission regulating localization.
