摘要: Purpose – To evaluate bismuth, which is inexpensive and non‐toxic, as a substitute for mercury, indium gallium in Al‐5%Zn‐X sacrificial anode.Design/methodology/approach The effect of bismuth on the electrochemical behavior Al‐5%Zn‐Bi artificial sea water environment was investigated. Potentiodynamic, potentiostatic, galvanostatic, weight loss efficiency test methods were employed. surface specimens studied by SEM analyzed EDAX. Image analyzer also used.Findings Adding 0.3‐0.5%Bi to Al‐5%Zn alloy produces considerable active sites anode and, when corrosion process continues, will be uniform joining these numerous shallow pits high emerge.Research limitations/implications Preventing segregation good casting practice or homogenization heat treatment helpful prevent unpredicted localized investigating processes performance thi...
