摘要: This article seeks to review the current literature on role of laryngopharyngeal reflux in development various disorders ear, nose and throat infants children including otitis media, chronic rhinosinusitis airway disorders. The aim is guide otolaryngology clinician investigation management identify priorities for future research this area. Many otolaryngological coexist with more often than might be expected by chance, but evidence causality weak. Although many otolaryngologists are convinced that treatment can make a significant difference clinical course upper disorders, support lacking. In part, due inadequate tools describing symptoms endoscopic signs lack sensitive, specific reliable objective test. Further demonstrating simple associations between diseases unlikely much value. Instead, researchers should concentrate their efforts studies develop validate better means recording investigating utility salivary pepsin, oropharyngeal pH monitoring multichannel intraluminal impedance.
