摘要: We discuss the possibility of largely enhancing nonlinear second-harmonic generation (SHG) from χ(2) materials using metasurfaces consisting suitably engineered optical nanoantenna arrays. The proposed setup may increase SHG conversion efficiency by orders magnitude, compared to a thin film material same thickness. This enhancement is attributed localized fields at nanoload, due plasmonic resonance noble-metal nanoantennas, combined with enhanced photonic local density states induced properly coupling two closely spaced form nanocavity enhance SHG. subwavelength device can lead versatile applications, such as wavelength and wave mixing nanoscale.
