摘要: Abstract : Military operations have always held the potential for encountering of moral dilemmas by military personnel. The current research involved secondary data analyses an intensive interview study Canadian Forces senior officers, each whom had confronted a dilemma (i.e., situations or circumstances in which at least two core values are conflict) during deployment. Each was coded evidence central conceptual frameworks from and ethical decision making literature, including number nature dimensions intensity, emotions, as well counterfactual thinking ?what if? ?if only? statements describing imagined alternatives to actual outcome). Although commonly used there been few applications these models domain, virtually none that has applied all first-hand accounts dilemmas. Finally this work explores extent reveal psychological resolution concerning dilemmas, is associated with particular intensity dimensions, emotions thinking.
