摘要: Listeriosis is rarely reported in the Southern African Hemispheres spite of increasing rate Listeria several foodborne outbreaks advanced countries. This paper reviews emerging trends spread, distribution, and epidemiology species foods, water, human, animals, different environments Africa based on appraisal scholarly articles. In this regard, information obtained from literatures various online databases revealed that are commonly recovered food, human samples. Fewer articles provided animals (ruminants) soil Generally, reports studies were more focused monocytogenes among other species. To end, literature method identification mostly serological, classical biochemical methods principle aesculin hydrolysis, usually characterized by black coloration selective media for Listeria. These may not be reliable, as they could sometimes give a false positive report. Therefore, molecular accurate, show genetic relationship between isolates, at same time capable enabling tracking source pathogen should embraced better substitute sub‐region.
