摘要: A sensitive, specific and accurate radioimmunoassay of progesterone in human saliva is described. The assay had a sensitivity 8 pg/tube blanks were negligible. intra- inter-assay coefficients variation 5.2 9.4%, respectively. mean recovery from 60 samples was 93.2 ± 6.3%. Results obtained nine healthy, normally menstruating women showed that salivary rose the 4th day before ovulation to peak (± SD) 1.14 0.17 ng/ml on 8th after ovulation, followed by gradual decline. Correlation simultaneously plasma levels good (r = 0.47; P < 0.001), although maximum percent increase more than 10 times greater progesterone. Salivary thought reflect unbound fraction this non-invasive technique can be used for serial investigations which frequent samplings are required.
