Isolation and identification of radical scavengers in olive tree (Olea europaea) wood.

摘要: Several extracts of Olea europaea wood (Picual olive cultivar) were obtained with solvents different polarity and their antioxidant activities determined. The active compounds detected in fractions an ethyl acetate extract using HPLC on-line radical scavenging detection. After applying separation techniques, hydroxytyrosol, tyrosol, cycloolivil, 7-deoxyloganic acid, oleuropein ligustroside isolated characterized. Hydroxytyrosol showed a higher activity than the natural rosmarinic acid DPPH model radical. Cycloolivil stronger synthetic BHT against same Ligustroside, tyrosol little activity. latter compound has not been previously identified genus Olea.
