摘要: The simultaneous Q-switching and mode locking (QML) regime provides the generation of relatively high peak power picosecond pulses train with energies a few /spl mu/J each in simple resonator. acousto-optic cell playing double role Q-switch locker was located near flat output coupler. two folding mirrors were mounted on translation stages for matching resonance frequency cavity to radio modulator. QML envelope durations 100-150 ns 100% modulation depth observed wide range pump powers repetition rates. In preliminary experiments up 3 W average power, 100 energy, having approximately 5-8 locked achieved.
