摘要: The floras of the Guineo-Congolian and Zambezian Regions,* except for a few cosmopolites, pluri-regional linking species chorological ecological transgressors, are almost mutually exclusive so far as greater part their areas is concerned. There is, however, transition zone between them (White 1976a, in press, A) up to 500 km wide, where an impoverished flora even more interdigate or occur mosaic, and, locally, intermingle. precise distribution vegetation dominated by these determined local edaphic climatic factors. Most Zaire this Congo-Zambezia included Region Duvigneaud (1952), who, nevertheless, admits its transitional nature. Certain authors, e.g. Devred (1957) Liben (1958), attempt define boundary Regions. general needs biogeography, equally well served if zones clearly recognized such.
