摘要: Applying the momentum method, Fokker-Planck equation is derived from Boltzmann for r-4 potential between atoms and ions. Two earlier attempts are revealed to be limiting cases of our more general equation, namely very large small mass ratio collision partners. The after being completed with a decay term source term, solved by Green's function method. solution turns out composed modes in velocity space which independently towards stationary spectrum. amplitudes latter depend on we assume shaped like delta -function if laser pumping accounted for. Only long relaxation times does lowest mode prevail spectrum then merges into Maxwell distribution. Several new lines ion-atom pairs as well atom-atom have been measured. They presented along fits using aforementioned formula. As expected, agreement satisfactory only first case. In second case approximation no longer applies.
