摘要: Epidemiologie Au cours des 10 a 15 dernieres annees, le Canada est devenu deuxieme plus grand consommateur d’opioides de prescription (OP), principalement pour traitement la douleur. Cette augmentation ete marquee chez les 55 ans et plus. Meme si personne ne conteste droit patients recevoir traitements adequats douleur, il n’en demeure pas moins que cette disponibilite accrue entraine son lot problemes : visites l’urgence deces lies aux opioides ainsi du trouble lie l’utilisation (TLU) opioides, qui d’ailleurs associe une prevalence accrue, l’ordre 40 %, divers problemes psychiatriques, dont troubles depressifs majeurs. Neuroscience De nouvelles connaissances issues neurosciences nous permettent mieux comprendre reaction cerveau lors l’exposition ces substances caractere chronique TLU opioides. Quoique historiquement percu comme faiblesse ou un vice, maintenant reconnu condition resultant d’une interaction complexe entre substance, facteurs d’environnement genotype individuel. Malheureusement, evidences scientifiques sont encore largement appliquees clinique majorite medecins n’ont habiletes necessaires diagnostiquer traiter Guides pratique Des recommandations guides peuvent aider identifier personnes vulnerables mesusage, encadrer gestion medication. Il s’agit se desinteresser abandonner leur sort mais plutot offrir soins inspires meilleures pratiques appuyes sur qualite.
