摘要: ABSTRACT: A prospective longitudinal survey for sleeping disease (SD) was carried out over a 20 wkperiod on caged freshwater population of farmed rainbow trout Oncorhynchus mkyiss . Pancreas,heart and red white skeletal muscle were examined histologically the presence severityof lesions recorded. Sera tested viraemia with Salmonid Alphavirus (SAV) virus neu-tralizing (VN) antibodies. Viraemia detected 4 wk, beginning at Week 6 peakprevalence 57.9% 7. Clinical signs mortalities appeared 8. Total mortality inthe study cage from onward 6.3%, but other cages site had levels upto 47.2%. VN antibodies first 9, seroprevalence increasing to 80% by theend (Week 20). Geometric mean antibody titres peaked 1/89.4 17. Histologi-cal 7 (pancreas only), before in prevalence sever-ity peak Weeks 9 10.
