摘要: Abstract The Commission on Dietary Supplement Labels encourages nutrition professionals to become knowledgeable about all dietary supplements. Health and Education Act of 1995 (DSHEA) expanded the definition supplements beyond essential nutrients while distinguishing them from drugs or food additives. In order give practical advice consumers policymakers, dietetics need understand implications resulting this less-restrictive regulatory environment for Dietetics must also familiar with claims made by manufacturers, retailers, others regarding popular nonvitamin, nonmineral (NVNM) supplements, as well usage prevalence trends. However, NVNM currently are classified inconsistently, information use is limited.
