摘要: Many single- and dual-process models of recognition memory predict that the ratings remember-know receiver operating characteristics (ROCs) are same, but Rotello, Macmillan, Reeder (2004) reported slopes z-transformed ROCs (zROCs) different The authors show averaging introduces nonlinearities to form zROC zROCs indistinguishable when constructed in a conventional manner. show, further, some nonoptimal decision strategies have distinctive, nonlinear effect on single-process continuous-state zROC. conclusion is many factors having nothing do with nature can affect shape zROCs, therefore, does not, alone, characterize models.
