摘要: Abstract Growth hormone concentrations were measured in the plasma of 59 individuals with acromegaly. In addition, 12 acromegalic patients studied during oral glucose, intravenous insulin, and tolbutamide tolerance tests for changes blood glucose nonesterified fatty acids (NEFA), growth concentrations. The subjects had higher than normal which did not change following hypoglycemia or hyperglycemia to same degree as those control subjects. As a consequence chronic hypersecretion hormone, manifested impaired tolerance, despite mean insulin response was 3 times normal. This antagonism cannot be attributed alterations fasting NEFA levels.
