摘要: Interest characterizes a cognitive-emotional relationship between people and information is key construct in human interaction. As motivational variable, interest has been widely studied psychology education, but received less consistent theory-driven attention the field of interactive retrieval (IIR). In this perspective paper we examine role review how it operationalized IIR research. We draw upon survey 58 research studies that have manipulated, controlled or measured searcher some way. The intent to raise profile as user-centred variable advocate for more conceptual methodological consistency future better evaluate impact search.
