摘要: A method for detection of a sequential data stream which can be performed in storge subsystem without host computer intervention is disclosed featuring examination the channel program processed during read operation signals indicative that not part stream, example, embedded seek instructions. If particular does contain such indications, successive record or records may then staged to faster access memory device as solid-state cache. The invention described plug-compatible, software-transparent configuration.
