Effect of temperature on predation by Harmonia axyridis (Pall.) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) on the walnut aphids Chromaphis juglandicola Kalt. and Panaphis juglandis (Goeze)

摘要: The walnut aphid species Chromaphis juglandicola Kalt. and Panaphis juglandis (Goeze) are destructive insect pests. Harmonia axyridis (Pall.) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae) is the main predatory with a wide geographical distribution. feeding behavior of predator against two different might influence bio-control efficacy in orchards. Functional response H. to various densities was examined under temperatures ranging from 15 30 °C. results showed that functional responses towards C. or P. fitted well Holling-II equation within range 15–30 A greater biomass aphids consumed when temperature increased predation than juglandis, searching efficiency more effective juglandis. Moreover, rates both decreased increasing density. This study an aphids. Increasing (15–30 °C) prey consumption. Interference between individuals density had negative impact on rate species.
