摘要: Different types of nanomaterials possess excellent physical and chemical properties. Nanoparticles (NPs) have been implicated for use in drug gene delivery. Several vitro vivo studies suggest the cytotoxic proinflammatory potential NPs. Further, parenteral administration NPs results their accumulation several tissues. The possible mechanism toxicity appears to be production free radicals, mitogen activated protein kinase (MAPK) activation translocation transcription factors from cytoplasm nucleus. This leads induction apoptosis, growth arrest, cell death. like nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) lead cytokines. present review focuses on cytotoxicity, biodistribution, with special emphasis carbon nanotubes (CNTs) toxicity.
