摘要: Metastasis is the chief cause of mortality from cancer, but mechanisms leading to metastasis are poorly understood. We used a proteomics approach screen for metastasis-associated proteins and found that collapsin response mediator protein-4 (CRMP4) expression was inversely associated with lymph node prostate cancer (PCa). Subsequent in vitro vivo studies revealed overexpression CRMP4 not only suppressed invasion ability PCa cells, also strongly inhibited tumor an animal model. Furthermore, methylation CpG island within promoter region gene responsible downregulation expression. Thus, this study, we show new function as metastasis-suppressor PCa. The findings provide mechanistic insights into therapeutic potential most common male cancer.
