Do cenesthesias and body image aberration characterize a subgroup in schizophrenia

摘要: Objective: To identify and characterize a subgroup of schizophrenia patients with marked dominating bodily sensations (cenesthesias body image aberration). Method: We assessed cenesthesias different aspects aberration systematically along common (general, positive negative symptoms) ego-psychopathology in 60 acute paranoid schizophrenia. Cluster analysis was applied to subgroups. Psychopathology scores the clusters were compared at admission after 2 weeks hospital treatment. Results: One three comprised 14 (23.3%) disturbances experience (underestimation lower extremities, desomatization, boundary loss diminution). The further characterized by significantly higher admission. Some differences held true over 2-week period. Conclusion: The findings from present study suggest that might represent an additional dimension psychopathology be used for defining nosological subtype
