PHYLLOTACTIC CHANGE INDUCED BY GIBBERELLIC ACID IN XANTHIUM SHOOT APICES

摘要: Gibberellic acid (GA) treatment of vegetative shoots Xanthium leads to a change in phyllotaxis as diagnosed transverse sections apical buds. A method analysis is proposed for estimating the phyllotactic parameters, plastochron ratio, a, and divergence angle, from measurements angular radial positions leaf primordia sections. GA significantly decreases 1.35 controls, 1.19 GA-treated plants, shown by an variance, but has no significant effect on angle. The estimates are compared with parameters theoretical models, leading designation (2, 3) (3, 5) where integers 2, 3, 5 designate sets contact parastichies. interpreted indicating relative position at which initiated meristem, this discussed relation theories initiation.
