摘要: Several works in the literature show that accurate estimations of actual One-Way Delays (OWD) could improve performance various network protocol, such as Transport Control Protocol (TCP) throughput. With emergence multipath transport protocols like Multipath TCP or Stream (SCTP), potential impact can be even higher. Indeed, send data concurrently on heterogeneous paths, knowledge corresponding OWDs greatly help mitigating packet arrival disorder. Theoretically, clock synchronization between endpoints ensure OWD knowledge, but their efficiency at Internet scale is debatable. In practice, uses Round Trip Time (RTT) to take into account congestion compute retransmission timeouts, and assumed half RTT. However, numerous studies a majority connections experience latency asymmetry. this paper, we propose technique based differential pacing over multiple paths obtain an estimation difference different motivated by its strong utility for MPTCP SCTP. Simulations which are interesting scenarios application.
