A rheological and optical properties investigation of aliphatic (nylon 66, PγBLG) and aromatic (kelvar, nomex) polyamide solutions

摘要: An experimental study of shear viscosity η(), principal normal stress difference N1(), storage modulus G′(ω), dynamic η′(ω), and filament elongation to break LB is reported for solutions several polyamides; namely, nylon 66 in sulfuric acid (H2SO4) formic (HCOOH), poly(γ-benzyl-L-glutamate) (PγBLG) m-cresol, Nomex H2SO4 dimethylacetamide (DMA)/5% LiCl, Kevlar at 25 60°C. The variation properties with concentration, polymer backbone chain configuration, solvent type emphasized. 66/H2SO4 have higher viscosity, stresses, than the HCOOH equivalent concentrations. Nomex/H2SO4 stresses DMA/LiCl significance rigidity forming liquid crystalline phases PγBLG discussed its influence on flow indicated. These systems allow polarized light pass through crossed polarizers show maxima viscosity–concentration data. 25°C Kelvar are distinctive that they exhibit apparent yield values. This gives oscillatory Filament elongation-to-break data > order spinnability.
