摘要: Abstract: This article provides an overview of central issues in chronic nonmalignant pain management with a focus on prescribing opioid analgesics. Definitions are provided for terminology regarding and addiction. Epidemiology addiction among patients is reviewed. Benefits complications therapy discussed, along recent regulatory prescribers use medication agreements. Nonopioid treatments A standardized approach to reduces stigma improves patient care, therefore, algorithm presented pain.
