摘要: Infections shared with wildlife matter because many are zoonotic, of their impact on animal health and in consequence livestock production, due to adverse effects conservation the sustainable use wildlife. We describe recent environmental societal changes that contribute explain current disease scenario, propose an updated list ranking relevant agents, illustrate key risk factors which often underlay infections, provide a summary progress monitoring control. conclude, first, there is need for better understanding population dynamics good baseline data trends. Also, adapt our management control strategies context growing conflicts increasing social complexity. Second, few pathogens appear consistently rankings diseases tend receive most attention from scientific community. However, research still descriptive. Therefore, deeper ecology factor identification needed. Third, interventions regarding rarely widespread not necessarily successful, three aspects urgent regulation order improve health: feeding, farmed or translocated wildlife, hunting offal disposal. While drivers emergence active, awareness also governmental supra-governmental agencies, farmers, academy, contributing create fertile ground future innovative efforts.
