摘要: The paper reviews Durkheim's theory of suicide, with particular reference to his treat ment alcohol as a causal factor. It is argued that Durkheim views an individual-level factor, rather than socio-cultural factor on par other social facts This conception criticized, analysis data the rate abuse in society fact has explanatory power beyond level individual suicides. Some possible links between suicide and rates are discussed.
