However, the protective effects mechanism AKG on mucosal lesions not been well understood. This study was conducted investigate dietary supplementation early-weaning piglets under Escherichia coli lipopolysaccharide (LPS) induction. A total 32 weaned were used a × factorial design; major factors treatment (basal diet or diet) challenge (LPS saline). The results showed improved growth performance intestinal morphology LPS-induced piglets. Compared with basal diet, remarkably decreased concentration mRNA expression cytokines (IL-1β, IL-6, IL-12) Moreover, administration upregulated transporters (GLUT-2, SGLT-1, PEPT-1, I-FABP2) small intestine both saline- LPS-treated piglets, distribution genes andproteins (ZO-1, Occludin, Claudins, E-cadherin). Collectively, our findings indicate has potential alleviate response improve ability stress injury it also provides experimental basis enteral use swine clinical application prevent damage.
