摘要: Fisheries social research has attracted increasing attention in recent debates concerning alternative approaches the design of fisheries management systems. This essay examines case study and literature with a view to highlighting conceptual‐analytical strengths, shortcomings, lessons respect concerns. It is argued that effective sustainable regimes require central consideration be given principles justice distributional equity. Approaching these goals, turn, requires attend issues such as local‐level structures, gender/ethnic relations, distribution socioeconomic power material benefits.
