摘要: ABSTRACTThe objective of this study was to evaluate the effect corn texture and particle size on broiler performance, carcass yield, nutrient digestibility, digestive organ morphometrics. In Experiment I, 720 male Cobb chicks were distributed in a completely randomized experimental design with 2 x 3 factorial arrangement, consisting two textures (dented hard) three sizes, applied, four replicates 30 birds each. Corn classified according geometric mean diameter (GMD) as fine – 0.46 mm; medium 0.73 mm, coarse 0.87 mm. II, 120 used digestibility during periods 16 22 days 35 41 age, using method total excreta collection. influenced body weight, average weight gain, feed intake conversion ratio 21-day-old birds. did not affect performance 42-day-old broilers or traits. there no influence weights. Dented increased nitrogen excretion first trial, hard improved dry matter second metabolic trial. promotes better at 21 age. Hard results higher lower excretion, consequently production factor broilers.INTRODUCTIONCorn is third most cultivated cereal world, following wheat rice. Brazilian poultry swine industries use approximately 70 80% locally produced corn. Broiler feeds represent more than thirds cost, because main energy feedstuff feeds, its processing strongly profitability industry (Lott
