Use of traditional healers and modern medicine in Ghana.

摘要: Purpose:  To gain understanding of the use traditional and modern medicine among people in Ghana, West Africa. Methods:  Data were collected from nine participants using a semi-structured questionnaire developed by researchers based on review literature. Findings:  analysis was performed manually reduction methodology to develop broad themes. Findings indicated that choices healthcare modalities literate Ghanaians included either or medicine, blending both. Strong influences these level education related themes, influence family friends, spiritual/religious beliefs. Implications:  indicate medicines will always be part Ghanaian delivery efforts should made integrate practitioners into national system.
