摘要: Abstract The N-end rule relates the in vivo half-life of a protein to identity its N-terminal residue. Similar but distinct versions operate all organisms examined, from mammals fungi and bacteria. In eukaryotes, pathway is part ubiquitin system. I discuss mechanisms functions this pathway, consider applications.
