摘要: Gastroesophageal reflux (GER) has been reported in a high percentage of children with asthma. To investigate the relationship between GER and nocturnal asthma (NA), 25 pediatric patients histories NA were studied prospectively three to 13 weeks in-patient observation document quantitative day-time night-time wheezing frequency. Two distinct groups identified: 17 predominant (DA) eight prominent NA. All overnight esophageal pH recordings detect during sleep while also monitoring clinical status. A score (RS) was calculated quantitate severity GER. Sixteen (64%) had abnormal GER, including all significant positive correlation found RS nights wheezing, age, serum theophylline level pulmonary function at time study did not correlate RS. The group significantly higher than DA group. Three onset an episode We conclude that there is association independent lung levels may induce subpopulation reactive airways.
